Wynn Al Marjan Island has reached a key stage in its construction timeline, with the project officially topping out as the main tower achieves its highest structural concrete point. Wynn Al Marjan Island shared the update in a LinkedIn post marking progress on the UAE’s first integrated gaming resort.
“Today, Wynn Al Marjan Island reached a defining milestone – topping out,” the company said, confirming that the tower has now reached its full concrete height after more than two years of construction activity.
Located on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, the development is being delivered by Wynn Resorts alongside partners Marjan and ALEC. The topping out milestone places the project firmly on track as it moves towards its planned opening in spring 2027.
The LinkedIn post outlined the scale of the structure, noting that the building is rising to 283 metres across 70 floors, having reached this point just 27 months after foundation works began. The tower will continue to grow once final architectural elements are installed. “When its spire is installed in 2026, the tower will reach 352 metres, becoming the tallest man-made structure in Ras Al Khaimah by more than 100 metres,” Wynn said. The completed height will make the resort tower a defining feature of the emirate’s skyline and one of the tallest hospitality structures in the region.
The company described the milestone as a powerful marker of the ambition behind this project, underlining the role the resort is expected to play in reshaping Ras Al Khaimah’s tourism offering.
Wynn’s announcement placed clear emphasis on the people delivering the project. “This moment belongs to the people behind it,” the company said, acknowledging the contribution of those working on-site and across the wider development team.
“Together with our partners at Marjan and ALEC, along with the engineers, specialists, and teams working across the island, we’re building at an extraordinary pace and precision,” it added.
Despite the tower reaching its full concrete height, work on the island continues at full pace. “From the view at the top to the intensity of the work continuing below, momentum is unmistakable as we move toward welcoming guests in Spring 2027,” Wynn said, highlighting its ongoing activity.
Wynn Al Marjan Island is expected to open in spring 2027, aligning with earlier guidance from both Wynn Resorts and local stakeholders. The resort will be the first integrated gaming destination in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), after Wynn Resorts secured the UAE’s first commercial gaming operator licence in 2024.
Beyond its role as a hospitality and gaming destination, Wynn Al Marjan Island is positioned as a catalyst for broader development on Al Marjan Island and across the emirate. The resort will feature a large number of hotel rooms, extensive food and beverage offerings, entertainment venues, and leisure facilities, designed to appeal to a wide range of travellers.
Wynn Resorts has previously outlined strong financial expectations for the project, while analysts have pointed to the resort’s potential to draw visitors from key international markets.
