Month-long program encourages safer Sports Toto participation with education tools and prize incentives.

Key points

  • Betman rolls out national responsible gambling campaign through January 31
  • Participants must watch an educational video and complete three self-assessment programs
  • Prizes include Baedal Minjok, Olive Young and CU vouchers plus 500 Bet Balls

Betman, the official online sales platform for South Korea's Sports Toto lottery, has launched a January 2026 responsible gambling campaign aimed at promoting safer betting habits among players throughout the month.

The initiative, titled "Participate in the responsible program and create a healthy Toto life," is operated by the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation and runs until January 31. As reported by Chosun Biz, Sports Toto offers monthly responsible gambling events on Betman to encourage customers to use the sports lottery in a more informed and controlled manner.

To enter, users must log in to the Betman event page, view an instructional video through the "learn about responsible purchasing" feature, and complete three designated responsible gambling programs. Watching or downloading the educational video grants 500 Bet Balls, a digital reward that can be used for prize draws. The same benefit is provided for downloading an image linked to the campaign.

The three required programs are "self diagnostic assessment", "self purchase plan" and "self rest plan". The assessment helps users evaluate their gaming behaviour and level of immersion. The purchase plan allows users to set weekly spending and participation limits. The rest plan encourages users to commit to taking breaks from Sports Toto to maintain balance and prevent excessive play.

Participants who complete all steps will be entered into a prize draw. Betman will award Baedal Minjok gift certificates worth KRW 30,000 (US$20.7) to 30 winners, Olive Young vouchers worth KRW 10,000 to 120 winners and CU convenience store vouchers worth KRW 5,000 to 150 winners.

The campaign closes on January 31, with winners scheduled to be announced on February 3. Further information is available on the Betman event page.
