The Asociacion de Empleados de Casinos Nacionales has reached a new wage agreement with the Provincial Government that will deliver a combined 11.1% salary increase for casino employees by April 2026.

In a statement released by the union over Instagram, it was shared that the Association had accepted a government proposal granting a 5% pay rise for March and an additional 2.5% increase for April, both calculated on January 2026 salary levels.

These increases make up the 11.1% rise when added to the results of a separate collective bargaining agreement concluded last week.

For workers, the next payroll will include retroactive payments covering December, January and February, as well as the newly agreed March increase.

Union representatives said the combined adjustments represent approximately a 20% retroactive increase compared with wages paid in December, providing additional financial support to employees.

Beyond base salary increases, the agreement also introduces other changes to the compensation structure, including a 25% increase in Sunday pay.

Despite accepting the proposal, the union said it intends to continue discussions with authorities through technical working groups addressing a number of outstanding issues.

These include a 50% increase for Sunday work, which is what would be need to reach double pay.

There have also been discussions on the regulatory frameworks for night shifts and rotating work schedules.
