The Pools strengthens product strategy ahead of 2025 rebrand

The Football Pools (The Pools) has announced a couple of key senior-level appointments ahead of its 2025 digital transformation strategy.

Firstly, the former Head of Product at LiveScore Group, Chris Williams, has been named as the new Head of Product at The Pools.

In his role, Williams will leverage years of experience behind the development of app, mobile and web platform products, in order to expand The Pools’ multi-channel offering.

Second in line is Matt Knowles, who has been appointed Head of CRM and will boost The Pools’ customer relationship strategies, loyalty programmes and satisfaction initiatives.

Knowles brings previous experience in working with companies like Betway, Gamesys, and Betfair, strengthening their customer retention and engagement strategies.

On The Pools’ priorities in 2025, CEO James Arnold commented: “As we head into 2025, both enhancing our product and building upon our relationships with loyal customers while targeting new ones is imperative to our major rebrand and sustaining growth in 2025.”

The new appointments come a few months after The Pools signed a multi-year partnership with Gaming Innovation Group (GiG), which GiG leveraged to carry over its X-Suite of products – the SportX sportsbook and CoreX igaming platform – into the UK market for the first time.
